SCHOOL BOARD

Faribault Lutheran School is governed by a Board of Directors in accordance with the school’s mission and bylaws. Board members are elected by the governing bodies of our partner churches and serve as representatives of those congregations. The Board of Directors is responsible for the governance of the school and the development and oversight of school policies.

As outlined in the school handbook and in keeping with the principles of Matthew 18:15–17, we encourage parents to bring any questions or concerns first to the appropriate classroom teacher and then to the school administrator. This approach promotes healthy communication and resolution at the most immediate level, as Scripture instructs:

“If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’ If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church...”

If a parent or guardian wishes to bring a matter before the Board of Directors, a written request must be submitted at least five (5) days prior to the scheduled board meeting. This request should be placed in a sealed envelope address to the Board Chair and delivered to the school office.

We thank you for partnering with us in support of a Christ-centered education for all FLS students.

Board meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m., alternating between our partner church locations. Dates and locations can be found in the school calendar and weekly school newsletter.
