Fine Arts at FLS
At Faribault Lutheran School, we believe in nurturing the God-given talents of every student through a variety of fine arts opportunities—now led by our full-time music teacher. From music and drama to visual arts, your child will have multiple ways to learn, grow, and shine.
What Fine Arts Are Part of the School Day?

Music Classes (Grades K–8): Taught by our full-time music teacher, students have the opportunity to participate in music class daily and learn rhythm, melody, harmony, composition, and more.

Art Classes (Grades K–8): Using the Arts Attack curriculum and local partnerships like the Paradise Center for the Arts.

What Performances Will My Child Be Involved In?

K–2 Musical: A fun, age-appropriate performance for younger students.

3-6 Musical: Singing, acting, and stage confidence-building.

Christmas Program: Scripture and songs that celebrate the birth of Christ.

Spring Concert: Choirs and ensembles perform for families and friends.

7th & 8th Grade Play: A drama opportunity with after-school practices.

Are There Extra Opportunities Outside of Class?

Band (Grades 5–8): Our full-time music teacher offers band lessons for students in grades 5-8. Lessons take place before, after and during break times at school.

Handbells & Tonechimes: Open to interested students; rehearsals during school breaks.

Choir: Choir is offered as an after school elective for students in grades 4-8. The choir performs at various performances throughout the school year as well as chapel and church services.

Violin Lessons: Available during the school day with an independent instructor.
